To develop diverse teaching methods, enhance flexible learning for students, and align with international standards, our university will implement a 16+2-week flexible learning system starting from the 2025 Fall Semester.
The 16+2-week flexible learning system consists of 16 weeks of intensive coursework supplemented by 2 weeks of flexible learning. This structure adheres to Article 23 of the Enforcement Rules of the University Act, which stipulates that 18 hours of instruction correspond to one academic credit. By optimizing learning hours, this system provides students with more opportunities for interdisciplinary learning and practical experience, fostering self-directed learning and broadening their academic horizons.
To ensure the smooth implementation of this system and gather feedback from all faculty, staff, and students, we sincerely invite you to participate in a “public hearing”. This will be an opportunity for open discussion on the details and execution of the system, ensuring that every voice is heard and contributing to the refinement of the framework.
We look forward to your valuable insights and participation!
